Context:
This leader was highly competent and deeply committed—but his time, energy, and confidence were consumed by constant reactivity. He often second-guessed himself, deferred to senior partners, and over-functioned for his team. Though technically strong, he wasn’t yet operating as a true powerhouse CFO.
The Work:
Through coaching, we focused on:
Building self-trust and shifting from approval-seeking to self-led decision-making
Delegating more effectively and setting clearer expectations with direct reports
Communicating more proactively and directly with senior leaders —especially under pressure
Navigating conflict and power dynamics with greater confidence
Redefining leadership from “getting it right” to driving strategic value and modeling balance
Results:
Rebuilt team systems to enable better delegation, faster execution, and stronger coaching
Established a clearer leadership identity rooted in calm, clarity, and strategic focus
Reconnected to a personal sense of agency, ownership, and long-term vision
